All the necessary documents must be sent and received by the receiving party with a minimum of 2 days
 
 

 

 

prior to vessel departure from the port of origin for sea freight and once depart from origin for airfreight. This may include clear copies of the following.

  • Pre-alert Advise (Covering Letter) - contains HBL number. If it is Telex release, Seaway or BL Surrendered.
  • House Bill of Lading / Master Bill of Lading
  • House Air Waybill / Master Air Waybill
  • Debit Memo / Credit Memo

All pertaining documents must be received and acknowledged by the counterpart agent or receiving agent at destination port regardless of vessels delay.

The Bureau of Customs in the Philippines will be penalized for late transmittal of documents under the new memorandum order issued by the said bureau. A minimum fine of USD 500.00 or its equivalent to PH Peso should be charged for this practice.
